Senior Producer (Multimedia), BBC Azeri Service

Job Introduction

BBC World Service Group is an international multimedia broadcaster, delivering a wide range of language and regional services on radio, TV, online with a big focus on mobile.

We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Senior Multimedia Producer to oversee the work of deployable correspondents in the Baku office of the BBC’s Azerbaijani Service.

Role Responsibility

In this senior role, you will be overseeing reporting, production and deployment in our Baku office and reporting to the Head of the BBC Azerbaijani Service. You will make sure that we produce the best digital journalism in Azerbaijan; and that our reporters, producers and shoot-edits always innovate and experiment, whilst remaining true to BBC standards and guidelines.

You will plan, organise, coordinate, oversee and control news deployments, making sure that reporting teams are properly supported in their work; that news events in Azerbaijan are properly covered; and that the service produces hard-hitting, impactful journalism for our audiences in Azerbaijan and our audiences elsewhere.

The Ideal Candidate

The successful candidate will be a highly experienced journalist with a track record of managing a team.

You will have extensive online media experience and will have the editorial awareness to take balanced decisions, suggest bold ideas and provide editorial advice to correspondents and producers.

Finally, you will be fluent in Azeri and will have a strong command of English.
