Graphic Designer (Motion)
BBC World Service is an international multimedia broadcaster, part of BBC News, delivering a wide range of language and regional services and working increasingly with other parts of BBC News to serve global audiences. It uses multiple platforms to reach its weekly audience of 320 million globally, including TV, digital platforms including social media, AM, FM, shortwave, digital satellite and cable channels.
Reporting into and taking assignments the Lead/Senior Designer/Creative Director, you will be an active part in team working with our VisJo team and others across News, Design & Engineering to solve problems sharing your design expertise.
As a Motion Designer you will be responsible to a Senior Graphic Designer, Visual Journalism. You will responsible of designing , executing and producing graphic design work for the full range of output across BBC News.
You will be able to demonstrate innovative creative solutions in the area of motion design branding and/or information graphics
The Ideal Candidate
In this role you will be expected to:
- Be able to apply various methods and techniques for problem solving
- Collaborate with other team members to get to the heart of what the audience need in terms of storytelling
- Gather and synthesis information from a range of sources to create high quality deign for multiple platforms
- Develop the visual elements and refining them towards a polished design, considering typography, iconography, layout and brand identity along the way
