Business Development Associate - Delhi
The BBC World Service Business Developmentteam is responsible for securing and developing partnerships that deliver an increasing proportion of the BBCs reach and impact around the world. As a key market facing team, we play an important role in providing insight into the latest media market developments and opportunities for BBC World Service English and Language Services. As Business Development Associate you will manage and develop all business development activities across India.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Business Development professional to join the BBC at an exciting time when new language services are emerging. You will beresponsible for maintaining and enhancing business activities in India as the key partner for Managers. This includes maintaining and developing partnerships across digital platforms, web portals, mobile operators, radio and TV networks in India.You will predominantly be responsible for the relationships built and maintained with syndicates and aggregators therefore it is important that you have experience of doing businessdevelopment in these twodomains.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will befluent in English and one other Indian language with an excellent understanding of the business development market in India particularly in the digital industry. You will have experience of working in a news environment and be aware of the major organisations or competitors in the digital space for news. As this is a sales roles, negotiating and influencing skills are a must and editorial understanding and experience would be a bonus.
